Catheryn Koss (2007-2008 Fellow) was recently elected to serve a two-year term on the Gerontological Society of America's Governing Board. The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) is the nation’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging. Catheryn, an Assistant Professor of Gerontology at California State University, Sacramento, was selected to represent early career faculty.

Nina Kohn, professor at Syracuse University College of Law, and Israel "Issi" Doron at the University of Haifa, Department of Gerontology, were recipients of a 2014 Borchard Academic Research grant. The work funded by this grant has now been published as an article, together with Maria Teresa Brown of the Aging Studies Institute. Their article, Identifying Connections Between Elder Law & Gerontology: Implications for Teaching, Research, and Practice,  appears in the Elder Law Journal, Vol. 25, No. 29, 2017.
