Borchard Fellow Participates in Hastings Panel

Published in Center News

Krista Granen, a 2015-2016 fellow, participated in a panel discussion on March 3 at the Univeristy of California Hastings College of Law campus.

The panel was for 2Ls in UC Hastings' Social Justice Concentration. All three panelists were former Social Justice Concentrators and all are currently engaged in public interest work. One panelist is a former fellow and current attorney at The Greenlining Institute, another is the current Abascal Fellow at the National Housing Law Project, and Krista is currently a Borchard Fellow with Bay Area Legal Aid where she provides legal services to low-income seniors.

Krista explained how the Borchard Center on Law & Aging values fostering the growth of elder attorney advocates and encouraged interested students to consider thinking about working in the field of law and aging. She also noted that the Center supports its fellows in the development of their careers and remains connected to and supportive of former fellows in a variety of ways including networking and former fellow small grant opportunities.
