Former Fellows Gather in San Francisco and DC

Former Borchard fellows Stella Kang (2010-11), Megan Jack Yip (2008-09), Elizabeth Zirker (2005-06), and current fellow Rachel Mehlsak (2013-14) joined Co-Directors Professor Edward S. Spurgeon and Mary Jane Ciccarello (Borchard Fellow 2001-02) at the University Club in San Francisco, California, on April 25, 2014, for a social gathering and to talk about their current activities in the field of law and aging and the influence of the Borchard Fellowship program on their careers. They also attended the reception hosted by the National Senior Citizens Law Center at which Professor Spurgeon and the Center received the first Impact Award made by the NSCLC. 

Borchard Fellows Coordinator Catheryn Koss (2007-08), Lian Kuang (2009-10), Mary Jane Ciccarello, and current fellow Adrienne Lyon Buenavista (2013-14) met on May 29, 2014, in Washington, DC, while also attending the 2014 World Congress on Adult Guardianship. The Borchard Center on Law & Aging was a sponsor of the congress and Ms. Ciccarello served on its planning committee.
